League Championships (Regionals)

The Regional Tournament was held on Sunday, March 2nd at Hackensack High School. WT Wrestling had 22 wrestlers participate in the league championships and 8 of our boys medalled. Congratulations to all that participated and represented the WTW program well. Click on the Honor Roll page to see the medal winners.

District Tournament Results

WT Wrestling had a terrific day on the mat at the District 1 Tournament. We earned a total of 31 medals and 23 of the WTW wrestlers have advanced to the League Championships to be held at Hackensack High School on March 2nd. Check out the WTW Honor Roll for a list of the medal winners. The event itself was also a great success. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the event run very smoothly.

Park Ridge Tournament Results

WT Wrestling had 29 wrestlers participate in the Park Ridge Tournament and we took home 18 medals in total. All the boys wrestled hard and represented the program very well. The medal winners are listed in the Honor Roll page of the website.

2008 NJ State Championships

Congratulations go out to our 2008 NJ Kids States Medalists. The State Championships have been completed and WT Wrestling had seven wrestlers place.

Important Notes

The following are some important notes and requests:
- have your wrestler put his wrestling shoes on and off in the gym only
- make sure your wrestler brings his headgear to all practices
- headgear must be worn at all times on the mat
- send your wrestler to practice with water
- have your wrestler wear shorts or sweats with no zippers
- have your wrestler wear a shirt which can be tucked in
- be sure that your wrestler takes a shower immediately after practice
- all clothes worn to practice should be placed in the laundry asap
- be sure your wrestler keeps his nails trimmed
- please be sure to let the coaches know if you cannot make a match
