WT Wrestling is a recreational wrestling program for boys and girls in 1st through 8th grades. The program teaches wrestling skills in a competitive but fun environment.  Practices include sessions of conditioning, technique and instruction, drilling, situational exercises, and live wrestling.  All coaches are from Washington Township and Westwood and we may bring in some guest coaches from time to time.

Practices are held each Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Westwood High School Lower Gym in late November, December, January, and early February. 

We participate in the Twin County Junior Wrestling League which is comprised of 50 teams from the area.  Recreation meets are usually held on Saturdays beginning in January and continue for seven weeks into February. 

The team will also participate in a number of tournaments which are held on Sundays.  These tournaments usually require a fee for entry and a weigh-in earlier in the week at the tournament location.  We will advise you of upcoming tournaments.  You can also see a list of "open" tournaments by clicking on the NJ Wrestling Tournaments link in the Useful Links page. 

There are many "private" wrestling clubs in the area.  If your wrestler is very serious about the sport and has a desire for additional training please discuss the options available to you with one of the coaches.
